Mexico’s president announces plans to build international airport

Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto announced the construction of a new international airport for Mexico City on Tuesday. He made the announcement during his second state-of-the-nation address, in which he defended reforms instituted since he took office in 2012. To discuss developments in Mexico’s economy, CCTV America’s Jessica Stone is joined by David Shirk, Political Science and International Relations Associate Professor at the University of San Diego. He’s also the director of the Justice in Mexico Project.
